We kicked off our summer as soon as we could this year. When the gate at the pool opened we were there. We have also been enjoying cooking out in the backyard...especially on the nights when we have had mild heat(which is really rare for Augusta!). Here are a few random pics of summer fun so far! Just to update you on Greer, he took swim lessons for a week from a school teacher here locally. He is doing great! So great to the point where I am now a nervous wreck at the pool! He is jumping from the edge of the pool and then swimming to us in the water and is also swimming from the stairs(which are in the shallow end) to us in the deeper part of the pool. He asks to do it over and over and truly does not know when to stop. I have caught him several times swimming up to neighbors thinking they will be there when he swims up to them. He has learned to kick, blow bubbles under water, and scoop his hands like ice cream when he swims. This is a huge change from last summer when he would cry every time we tried to get him to do anything more than play in the baby pool. I am pleased to see him overcome his fear of the water, but would love for him to be a little more cautious! The last day at swim lessons, when the parents came to watch, he jumped off the diving board into the deep end. Ms. Beth was right there to catch him, but I still could not believe what was happening. Don't blink, you might see a fearless fish swimming in the pool! I've learned to be careful what I wish for, because I am not so sure I am ready for all of this!
Backyard cook out with the Todds...
it's always more fun at the kids' table!
Look at the sweetness!
Joe double fisting the boys
Greer loves Kate! He asks about her every time we go anywhere on the golf cart.
She is so sweet with Greer....and patient too!
Such a sweet picture!
Corn hole at night....this has happened many nights this summer!
Greer fishing at the neighborhood pool opening party
The men behind the grill
Just help yourself Greer!
The children splashing...Greer's favorite new thing to do at the pool.
Drives me crazy!
Greer was a quite a big fan of the lemonade stand...which is so funny because it belongs to us and has lived in our garage for years now. I caught him several times "accidentally" pouring out his lemonade so he could go refill his cup. I busted him quite a few times.
