Our dear friends who started out as just neighbors have left us and moved from Bartram Trail. I am thankful to be behind in blogging, because their move had me in tears every time I thought about it. I have still only driven down their street once since they moved and we use to drive by their house almost daily. This precious family has been more than amazing to us. They were here to share the joy of finding out we were having a baby girl to being the reason we went out of town for the first time after having Mary Harper. They are keeping us young and help us keep the faith in this crazy journey called parenthood. They share a love of The Lord, which makes them such wonderful spiritual friends. I remember the first time we met Joe, he came walking up our street with the boys in a double stroller. He said within a few minutes of talking with Jeremy and me that I needed to meet his wife. She was at home while he was out giving her a break. Oh how the Lord knew what he was doing when he graced my life with this precious friend! We hit it off with them from the start and not having them in our neighborhood anymore makes me feel a little incomplete some days. We just get each other! The days of switching places is over. Jeremy use to drive down to the Todds after all our kids were in bed and hang out with Joe while Amanda would come up here and we would have a girls' night. (You learn how to be efficient with your adult time once you have kids), the days of their green golf cart stopping by are gone, and the days of seeing Kate and the twins at the neighborhood park in the afternoon have passed. All these sweet, fun times are not happening any more, but our friendship is still growing strong! We may have to work harder to see them, but our time together is more quality and maybe even cherished a little more. There is never a dull moment, as you will see in the pictures below! Someone is always laughing! The big belly laughs that make your stomach hurt...because they are salt of the earth people....the kind of neighbors I prayed for before we even moved here. I am beyond thankful for their friendship and feel blessed that God kept them in Bartram long enough for us meet The Todds. So our sidewalk extends a little further, making our friendship that much bigger!
