Greer's 4K Graduation

We survived Greer's 4K year.  It was a tough one, but we made it through.  It was truly a learning experience for the whole family.  It's definitely harder to be a parent than a teacher.   It's for sure more challenging when your own children are involved.  We are moving our babies to Grace Baptist in the fall for MDO.  Greer will do half day kindergarten while Mary Harper will go two mornings a week in the twos.  It is a much smaller program and seems to offer more of what we are looking for in the classroom.  I think Greer and Mary Harper will love getting to be at the same school for the first time!  I have prayed lots about this decision and I am excited about this change!

Greer's End of the Year Party

I truly enjoyed being room mom for Greer's class this year.  I was able to be a part of planning every party and being there for the event too.  When I start feeling in a funk about staying home, it's days like these that remind me of one of the many reasons why I chose to do so.  He looks over at me during his parties and just smiles the most peaceful smile.  I can tell he is so happy to share his day with me.  The secretary told me every time its class party day, that he will ask her on the way to the bathroom, "are the mommies here yet?"  Makes me smile to know he loves me being there.  Don't worry buddy!  I'll be at every party until you tell me to stop coming...and even then...I'll still be there!
