Changes Coming Our Way

Jeremy has taken a job in Augusta, Georgia at Plant Vogtle.  They are building a nuclear power plant over there and Jeremy will get to be a part of this unique process.  We are both very excited, but a little nervous as well.  The move is going to be bitter sweet for sure.  This will be the first time I have moved from Birmingham, Alabama in my entire life.  Jeremy went off to college when he came to UAB, so he is used to change more so than myself.  We have prayed about this for a while, whether or not to move, and realized that moving while Greer is young would be the best option for our family.  Ideally, we would be back in time for Greer to start kindergarten in Birmingham.  We are looking forward to the plans God has in store!  Once again, my favorite verse applies to our family.

"For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Jeremiah 29:11

This was the first shock factor!  It is all so real now!

This is what happens when Greer's nap gets interrupted during a showing.

Ji Ji came to Augusta with us to see where we are moving.
Here are some pictures taken at the park.

I am really excited and impressed with the playground facilities here.  They have a splash pad, pond, dog park, and library all together!  Fun times ahead!  I know where we will be this spring!

Three stories high!  Yikes!  Not for this little guy for a while!

Masters outfit is ready to wear!

Where is Greer?  He loved riding on the luggage cart!

Hopefully the next pictures of Augusta will include where we will be living.  We are praying for a smooth transition for us all!  Moving is certainly not a walk in the park, however I am very impressed with the services Alabama Power offers its employees that are relocating.  Our family is so very thankful for this!

The Birmingham Zoo

Mi Mi and Gramps came up for the weekend. We had our first Open House on Sunday, so we decided to go to the zoo.  This just gave me one more reason to not want to leave Birmingham!  The zoo has come A.LONG.WAY. since I had been last!  Birmingham should be proud!  The weather was gorgeous and Greer was in a great mood (even though he skipped his nap AGAIN).  I am not thrilled about the amount of naps we have missed since our house has been on the market.  However, it seems to be necessary at times if we want to sell!
The flower bed Jeremy and his mom put together before the zoo.  We should have done this years ago!

Roll Tide!

Greer was on his tip toes watching the seals!

He loved the goats!  I think he thought they were dogs.
It is so nice that they have a "petting zoo" section now.

Greer loved the train!

Oak Mountain

Ji Ji, Paw Paw, Uncle Allen, and Katelyn all went to Oak Mountain for the day.  Jeremy was determined to paint the outside of the house, so Greer and I joined them at Oak Mountain.  This was one of the first nice days of spring like weather this year.  We all actually wore shorts in March.  Greer thoroughly enjoyed himself!  We had a picnic first and then Paw Paw decided to show Greer how to throw rocks in the pond.  At one point, I look over and my dad has taken Greer's shoes off and is putting his feet in the water.  Greer is screaming like a girl every time.  It was actually pretty funny, but the water had to be very cold.  My dad is determined to make a "country boy" out of Greer.  I can't complain!  Jeremy is straight up from the country and I cannot complain one bit!  I love every bit of where he came from!  I am convinced these are the best kind of men!  We later took Greer for a stroll on one of the short trails.  It was so nice to spend the day with family out in nature showing Greer what all God has created for us to enjoy!  Here are some pictures from our day.

So sweet!  Look at their facial expressions up close.  LOVE.THIS!

Love this picture!  Greer is watching so intently!

Oh that hair!

HaPpY BiRtHdAy Daddy!

Jeremy turned 31 this year.  Yep!  And I am still 29!  I always give him a hard time right after his birthday, because it is always five months away from mine.....which makes him sound two years older.  Not that two years is a big deal at all!  I just think it is funny.  The chili cook off was the day of Jeremy's birthday, so we spent the day with my parents and then cooked dinner at home that night.  Jeremy chose schnitzel for dinner and a TCBY ice cream cake for desert.  Here are a few pics from the day.

BiRtHdAy Breakfast....cake batter pancakes (thanks to Pinterest!)

Blowing out the candles.

Greer loved the balloons of course!

Love this picture!

And this one too!

Greer got tired of watching Jeremy open gifts, so he decided to dress up the bunny!
