Jeremy has taken a job in Augusta, Georgia at Plant Vogtle. They are building a nuclear power plant over there and Jeremy will get to be a part of this unique process. We are both very excited, but a little nervous as well. The move is going to be bitter sweet for sure. This will be the first time I have moved from Birmingham, Alabama in my entire life. Jeremy went off to college when he came to UAB, so he is used to change more so than myself. We have prayed about this for a while, whether or not to move, and realized that moving while Greer is young would be the best option for our family. Ideally, we would be back in time for Greer to start kindergarten in Birmingham. We are looking forward to the plans God has in store! Once again, my favorite verse applies to our family.
"For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Jeremiah 29:11
This was the first shock factor! It is all so real now!
This is what happens when Greer's nap gets interrupted during a showing.
Ji Ji came to Augusta with us to see where we are moving.
Here are some pictures taken at the park.
I am really excited and impressed with the playground facilities here. They have a splash pad, pond, dog park, and library all together! Fun times ahead! I know where we will be this spring!
Three stories high! Yikes! Not for this little guy for a while!
Masters outfit is ready to wear!
Where is Greer? He loved riding on the luggage cart!
Hopefully the next pictures of Augusta will include where we will be living. We are praying for a smooth transition for us all! Moving is certainly not a walk in the park, however I am very impressed with the services Alabama Power offers its employees that are relocating. Our family is so very thankful for this!
